This was taken from Woden Road South, Wednesbury in June 2010 and shows how beauty can be just on your doorstep even in the Black Country.
How would you improve this place?:
It's now a month after I took the photograph and the pool is draining leaving mud and ruining a environmental haven for wildlife. I understand funds are available from the sale of College fields to developers to keep the area a place of natural beauty. The river Tame is low but may be able to supply water to replenish the pool and so could the nearby canal. The cause appears to be works miles away. It happened once before when open cast mining was done on the site of the former Patent Shaft works.
